The annual ball of the Press Club is the highlight of our calendar and is attended by over 400 members, guests, and corporate supporters. Last year, the Club marked its 50^th anniversary by successfully launching our inaugural Press Club Awards and a Hall of Fame for the wider media industry.

Our Press Ball this year will be held on Saturday, 15 July 2023 at 7pm. The venue is the grand ballroom of Orchard Hotel Singapore. Our Guest of Honour will be Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information to present the trophies and certificates to the winners of this year’s Awards.

For the awards, we are recognising "rising stars" in three categories - young journalist, young digital journalist, and young PR professional. We will present a separate award for sustainability reporting, to underline the Press Club's support for the big challenge that sustainable development poses for our collective future.

In addition, we will be announcing several more inductees to our Hall of Fame. Last year, to celebrate our 50^th year, we inducted 50 professionals to the Hall of Fame. We made it a point to ensure that our inaugural 50 inductees cover all media channels, all four languages and all media professions.

The formal part of our event should end before 9pm, before the social part of the evening begins with our live band and dancing floor open for party till 11pm and lucky draw where we give away very attractive prizes. Most importantly, it is a great time for everyone to network and make new media and PR friends.
