ABOUT US

Singapore Press Club, founded in 1971, has over the years established itself as an active networking organisation for those in the media industry.

Membership is broad-based. We have members who are local and foreign professionals working in digital, print and broadcast media as well as public relations, corporate communications and other media-related sectors based in Singapore.

On its 50th year in June 2021, the Club converted from a society to a company limited by guarantee and refreshed the logo.

The Club also launched a Singapore Press Club Awards in 2022 in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Club. The annual awards aim to recognise the excellent work and contributions of media professionals towards building a vibrant media industry in Singapore.

The club organises an active calendar of programmes throughout the year for our members to network, learn and enjoy new experiences.

Our networking events cover drink nights, gourmet tastings and festive dining. Professional development programmes include Lunch-And-Learn sessions on key emerging news and journalism topics, and skills workshops e.g. on new media/data tools. Fun activities include curator tours to museums, unique places of interest, special exhibitions and novel experiences such as visits to aircraft carriers, book and film discussions with authors/film-makers.

Every year, hundreds of media industry professionals gather at our two key events - the Press Ball & Awards and Golf Classic - to network and celebrate professional and sporting achievements.

Our Overseas Goodwill Missions as well as social and golfing tours to interesting destinations are also very popular. Past locations have included Cambodia, China, Estonia, India, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Oman, Pakistan, Portugal, Romania and Sri Lanka.

Members also enjoy varied benefits from dining, travel and special event deals and invites.

Members are kept informed of activities and special deals via e-mail and on our website: www.pressclub.org.sg

The Singapore Press Club is a founder-member and former President of the International Association of Press Clubs (IAPC), which has its general secretariat in Dubai. Affiliated clubs such as Foreign Correspondents Club Hong Kong (FCC HK), FCC Thailand and FCC Japan offer our members special entry passes to use their club facilities with an advance introduction letter supplied by our Club.
