The Press Club is organising a “fireside chat” with Kirk Wagar, United States Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore, in a farewell event before he leaves his post.

Ambassador Wagar, who previously addressed Press Club members in 2014, will speak at 4:30 pm on Dec 20 at the SPH Auditorium, News Centre, 1000 Toa Payoh North, Singapore 318994. Press Club President Patrick Daniel will be the moderator. Light refreshments will be served.

Ambassador Wagar was sworn in as the United States Ambassador to Singapore on September 4, 2013. Prior to his diplomatic post, he was Managing Partner of Wagar Law, a Miami-based law firm.

Ambassador Wagar served as the Florida Finance Chair for President Obama from 2007-2012 and as the Florida Finance Chairman of the Democratic National Committee for John Kerry’s Campaign in 2004.

He was a member on the Board for the American Association for Justice (2002 – 2013) and a member of the Board for the Florida Justice Association (1997 – 2013).
