Singapore Press Club has put together our first overseas golf trip for members in 2019.

This golf trip is to Kunming, China, at the request of various golfing members.  It will be a 6-day/5-night trip from Tues, 23 April to Sunday,28 April 2019 [April is the best season in China, cool with lots of springtime flowers blooming, and we also avoid the crowded April 5th week – Qing Ming Jie (Tomb Sweeping Day)].

The cost (not including air tickets) are:
Twin-sharing: $1,200 per person
Single room: $1,700 per person
The additional air-fare is either $429 (Thai Air via Bangkok, 6-7 hours) or $925 (SilkAir direct to Kunming, 4 hours). We will poll those who sign up before deciding which airline to take.

We need a minimum 12 players to proceed with the trip.  Max number is 28 pax (7 golf flights).

23 to 28 April 2019, Tuesday to Sunday

Itinerary
Day 1 SINGAPORE – KUNMING (-/-/D) 
Upon arrival at Kunming Changshui International Airport, welcome by local representative from Spring City Golf Resort. Proceed directly to Spring City. Journey time: 1 hr 30 mins. Room check-in. Leisure time before Welcome dinner @ Spring City

Day 2 KUNMING (B/-/-) 
After breakfast at resort, the group tee-off for 1st round of golf game at Spring City Mountain Course.  Lunch at clubhouse.  After lunch, continue with 2nd round of golf game at Spring City Golf Lake Course.  Dinner at resort.

Day 3 KUNMING (B/-/-) 
After breakfast at resort, the group tee-off for 3rd round of golf game at either Spring City Mountain Course or Lake Course.  Lunch at clubhouse. After lunch, check-out from resort and proceed to Grand Park Kunming Hotel for check-in.  At own leisure.  Dinner at own expense.

Day 4 KUNMING (B/-/-) 
After breakfast at hotel, the group set off for 4th round of golf game at Sunshine Golf Club Journey time: 1 hr Local guide will assist on golf game registration. Lunch at clubhouse.  After lunch back to Hotel.  Leisure time before Dinner at Park Palace restaurant at Hotel (Yunnan cuisine).

Day 5 KUNMING (B/L /-) 
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Local City tour and to Stone Forest Tour and Western Hill Tour with local English-speaking guide.  Lunch at own expense.  After tour, back to hotel. Dinner at own arrangement and expense.

Day 6 KUNMING – SINGAPORE 
After breakfast at hotel, at own leisure /check-out for trip home to Singapore.

Twin-sharing: $1,200 per person
Single room: $1,700 per person

Price is inclusive of

• 5 Nights stay (2 nights in SpringCity resort and 3 nights stay in Grand Park Kunming Hotel Deluxe room)
• Airport transfers (unless your arrival timings are not same as the group)
• Transportation for sight-seeing tour
• 4 (or 5) games (one day in Spring City is 36 holes) : 3 games in Spring City, 1 (or 2) game in Sunshine Golf Club (covers twin sharing buggies, caddy and golf fees). Final game at own expense.
• English speaking guide for one full day City-tour and sightseeing entry tickets to Stone forest and Western Hills.
• 3 Lunches & 3 Dinners
• One box of Singapore Press Club golf balls (worth $21.50).
• Prizes for top 3 players during the trip league game.

Stone Forest Tour: Must-visit site in Kunming. Stone Forest is a well-known World Heritage site. The climate created this natural magnificent landscape. Greater Stone Forest, Minor Stone Forest and Naigu Stone Forest, all of which feature stones in various formations.

Western Hills Tour: Western Hills has always been reputed as the “top scenery in central Yunnan”. Western Hills is a forest park, a beautiful place with fabulous views. You can overlook the Dian Lake on the Western Hill, and there are also wonderful temples. The best attraction is the Dragon Gate on the top of Western Hill.
