On 21 May 2025, 6.30pm, the Singapore Press Club held its 3rd Annual Meeting (after converting to a CLG in July 2021), while the Club celebrates it’s 54th year since it was formed in 1971.
Held at the Singapore Sustainability Academy (SSA) at City Square Mall, thanks to the kind support by CDL for the venue, the space was wonderful and so convenient, we had a good attendance from members, way above quorum.
After Patrick Daniel presented his President’s Report and followed by Elsie Chua, Honorary Treasurer presentation of the Audited Financial Statements of Year 2024, Patrick thanked the Management Committee (2023 – 2025) members for volunteering their time to serve and help with the vibrant calendar of the year. Patrick also thanked members for their strong participation in the Club’s 38 curated Club and Partner’s events and activities in 2024 with participation for each event ranging from 12 to 300 depending on the event capacity.
The Club received and are thankful for many volunteering their services and inputs to the Club and secretariat so that Singapore Press Club can continue its successful programming each year.
Members also recently responded to the Club’s feedback survey on social programmes and events they wish to participate in and we are glad that the responses selected many of the programmes we have been organising, which meant that the varied programmes and offerings have met the diverse interests of our member community. Thank you everyone for your feedback and encouragement. We will continue to innovate and provide new offerings.
The election of the new Management Committee to serve a 2-year term (July 2025 – June 2027) was held. Some previous management committee members were re-elected and appointed, while some stepped down due to work commitments, many fresh new faces volunteered to serve and were elected.
Here’s who they are:
