As we wrap up Embassy Nights for 2024, we’re excited to have the British High Commission in Singapore hosting our Embassy Night and a particular joy to meet up with the British High Commissioner Nik Mehta as he finishes his first 100 days as the UK's envoy to Singapore. 

We had a fascinating conversation covering all manner of topics, from the biggest challenges in the world to how the UK is leveraging its soft power and business ties to boost its focus in Asia.

Our sold-out event at Eden Hall, with attendees from both the club and the media, has us reflecting on the 60-year-long friendship between Singapore and the UK.

The Singapore Press Club's Embassy Nights series has gone right around the world, starting in the European Union, then Ukraine, then over to Japan, Australia, and now the United Kingdom. Our thanks to hosts UK in Singapore for a fabulous event centered around thoughtful discussion to wrap up our 2024 series.

We have had capacity crowds at all our events and really smart exchanges between the host nations' diplomats, Singaporean and International journalists, and communicators.
