About Dr. Austin Wang

Austin Horng-En Wang is an assistant professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His research and teaching interests focus on public opinion, political psychology, data visualization, and East Asian politics. He has published in many academic journals related to the People’s Republic of China politics, Taiwan elections and politics, and public opinion related to U.S.-Taiwan relations. As an expert on Asia politics, political data analysis, and a native Mandarin speaker, Wang can discuss media reporting on U.S. or Taiwan elections, media and public opinion, U.S. and Asia relations, and PRC influence and media mis / disinformation.

An award winning producer and broadcast journalist; Claressa Monteiro is The Business Times’ Podcast Editor. Since 2022, she’s led BT Podcasts and driven audio content, strategy, business development and operations.
