Which nation is a maritime powerhouse (Significant source of GHG) yet ahead of the curve in promoting responsible business and the green transition? π’
You might've guessed or
, and you'd still be right! Singapore and Denmark are so similar, yet so different. Both countries are small but are maritime giants.
During the Embassy Night event hosted at the Ambassador's residence, we found out what the source of "happiness" is from the Embassy of Denmark in Singapore's Ambassador H.E. Jakob Brix Tange, and how they are celebrating "Growing Greener Together" and how they are celebrating "Growing Greener Together" and the 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Denmark. Join them as they celebrate the maritime industry's success and collaborate on the opportunities during the Singapore Maritime Week (24 - 28 March 2025). Ambassador warmly welcome all to meet the Danish maritime companies at Sea Asia 2025 and visit the Danish Pavilion organised by the Danish Export Association from 25-27 March 2025!

H.E Jakob was also frank about how Denmark as a nation is ranked second place as the happiest country in the world (Singapore is the happiest country in Asia) in 2024. Although they were once brutal Vikings, Denmark is now one of the world's most peaceful society. Denmark was also one of the founding members of the United Nations (UN) and continues to be a member of the military alliance - the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). Today, Denmark is a constitutional monarchy ruled by a representative democracy and a strong defender of free trade and human rights. Denmark also helps fight poverty around the world through its long-standing development cooperation. Other discussions over Greenland, their recent elections, trade, tourism and innovations were questions posed and answered candidly (off the record).

Our third successful Embassy Night was filled with laughter and insights from a full house of international journalists and media professionals. Other than the networking and insights, ak anyone who attended about the food and drinks - charcuterie table was next level too π―π―
