News Impact Talk series aims to bring together different media professionals and newsmakers for an intimate one-hour sharing session over lunchtime on topical issues of the day. These talks held over lunchtime, will take place bi-monthly on the second Wednesday of the month alternating with our Generations series.
We kicked off the first lunchtime talk on 10 November 2021. Fighting the doldrums - addressing remote work and wellness sharing session had panelists of media professionals opened up about their coping mechanisms. Whether managing teams or working from home, they reveal their challenges, and how they have developed strategies to stay mentally well.
Host of the session, Ms
Serene Goh, Singapore Press Club Management Committee Member and Founder & Director of Brango Pte Ltd said after the session - "I loved the insights and energy among the panelists, whose positive outlook over a challenging phase in media speaks to their values as leaders and professionals".
Ms Joyce Koh, Bureau Chief, Bloomberg Singapore shares at the session that "it has definitely been challenging adjusting to Covid life. Dealing with all the different issues arising from the virus restrictions, including working from home, has been a balance of being empathetic and practical. I do see it as an opportunity to be smarter in what we do, and am grateful for the support and resources provided to our people at Bloomberg as we go through this journey together."
