Dear Golf League Members,
After much negotiation with the hotels, golf clubs and flight agents, I’m glad to provide the itinerary and costings for our Ho Chi Minh and Dalat Golf Trip that will happen on 24-27 February 2017.
I must first thank the members who have already registered their interest, and hope they will all confirm their participation.
We’d like everyone to take the early morning (7.35am) TigerAir flight to Ho Chi Minh City (HCM) on Friday 24th Feb. We will go straight to the new 36-hole Tan Son Nhat Golf Course near the HCM airport for our first round of golf. (This course provides night golfing too, so those who are keen have the option of playing another round at your own cost). We’ll spend one night at the 5-star Park Royal Saigon hotel.
The following morning, on Sat, 25th Feb, we’ll take another early-morning flight to Dalat. We’ll go straight to the golf course, have lunch and play a round of golf in the afternoon. We’ll then check into the 4-star Terracotta hotel in Dalat. On Sunday, 26th Feb, we’ll tee-off in the morning and arrange for a trip to the city in the afternoon. Those who prefer to play a second round can do so (again at their own cost).
Take a look at the pictures in the detailed itinerary attached, we’re sure you’ll all love the “Dalat At 1200” championship course where we can play for two days in the cool (18-28ºC) weather.
Costs:
For golfers joining us on a twin-sharing room basis, the cost (excluding airfare) will be $790. For those going on a single room basis, the cost (excluding airfare) will be $950. (This cost includes 3 nights accommodation, 3 rounds of golf, land transfers, breakfasts and dinners, and a small amount for incidentals.)
In the interest of keeping the cost down, we have decided to travel with the budget airlines – TigerAir and VietJetAir. As such, those going for the trip will have to book your own tickets online, following the flight itinerary below. The total cost of the budget airlines air-tickets for both legs is about S$300. This is substantially lower than the lowest quotation of S$425 we got for a group booking.

We advise that you (a) confirm your participation early by sending us your registration form, and (b) book your tickets early; the airfare of the budget airlines fluctuates and will likely get higher closer to the travelling dates. Please also email your flight details to the secretariat after you have made your bookings.
We will be closing registrations on 9 Feb, so that we can finalise our accommodation bookings, etc. As mentioned earlier, for logistics reasons, we’d like to keep the group to about 20, so do send in your registration form fast to the Press Club Secretariat: secretariat@pressclub.org.sg or ssn@sph.com.sg
